The family name is a combination of the word Tsune, meaning “always,” and Saburo, the name of the original maker, Akio’s grandfather, Mr. Saburo Uozumi.
This chamfer plane is for 45° bevels, and the bevel width can be adjusted 0-16mm. The chipbreaker and slightly angled blade allow it to be used with difficult grain. The blade width is 30mm, and the plane’s dai (body) is made of Japanese White Oak.
