Our Japanese Framing Hammer has unique features desired by the professional. It is forged from high quality tool steel and carefully, tempered for long life. The head is angled to the handle for superior balance and reduced fatigue during use. The checkered faced nose is elongated to provide deeper reach, a feature appreciated when driving toe-nails. Unlike Western style framing hammers, this hammer head has a milled face to allow the side of the hammer to be used in tight situations, such as between studs. The face is carefully crowned to reduce slippage and bent nails. The hammer claws have the same unique tines and nail pulling features as do our Tiger Claws. A groove with an embedded magnet in the top of the hammer head securely holds the nail allowing you to easily start it with one hand. The face is checkered to reduce skidding. The fiberglass handle has a non-slip rubber grip. The overall length is 15¼˝.
