Master Blacksmith Teijiro Ohkubo has his own shop in Yoita, Niigata, Japan, and he is well known throughout the region for his hand-forging process that is considered among the finest. Mr. Ohkubo made these chisels from the finest blue paper steel that has a high carbon content of 1-1.5%, with added chrome and tungsten (not enough to be stainless steel). He laminated the steel onto a multilayer core, a process called Suminagashi.

Handles are made from premium Ebony, and overall length is 8-3/4".

The 10-piece set includes all of the most commonly used sizes from 1/8" to 1-3/4" in metric dimensions, with the approximate inch equivalents, and comes in an attractive box that is signed by the maker.
