Our hand forged Laminated Gardening Hoes are traditional tools used by Japanese gardeners. They are individually forged and heat treated by a master blacksmith. Each tool is a lamination of soft iron and high carbon steel. Unlike Western hoes, the blades are designed with a curved surface so that the blade cuts from the center to the its outside edge. This improves the cutting effect and helps prevent damage to adjacent foliage. The blades are installed angled to the handle to reduce fatigue during use. The handle is made from hard wood and is attached to the blade through a forged socket.

OurBulb Planting Tool with its narrow deep blade is used to break up soil. With one stroke it is capable of opening a sufficiently deep hole to plant most bulbs. This too greatly decreases the time required to plant a bed of bulbs. The blade is 2˝ wide x 5˝ long, and overall length is 15½˝.
