Did you know that 90% of the population are right-handed, yet we're all using left-handed tape measures when measuring and marking? If you're right-handed, think about what you do every time you pick up a tape. You hold your tape measure in your right-hand and you have to use your weaker left hand to make a mark. For non-ambidextrous people (like most of us), writing or marking with the weak hand is difficult and frustratingly inaccurate, especially when trying to work quickly. If you hold the tape measure in your left-hand and mark with your right the blade markings will be up-side-down, causing that dreaded "inch-too-short" error that spoils the work-piece and makes us all feel something between foolish and just plain "ticked off."

The blade markings are oriented such that when the tape is pulled with the left hand, the markings are "right-side-up" and you can then quickly, accurately and easily mark with your right hand.

It's well-constructed with a high-impact case and its accuracy is rated at Class 2. The blade markings are large and easy to read and have been heat-treated to extend their life, and the soft touch rubber grip and thumb lock are comfortable and easy to handle. The blade hook is made of stainless steel and its life and accuracy are protected by a rubber shock absorber where the blade enters the case.
