Overall blade length is 6˝ and overall length is 10¾˝. The Damascus pattern blade is forged from high quality #10 V-Gold Cobalt Steel. To support and strengthen it, 16 alternating layers of rust resistant stainless steel are forge welded to each side. A Damascus pattern unique to each knife reveals itself as the blade is hand polished one by one. The handle is a composite of linen in a thermosetting resin and is sturdy as well as beautiful. Stainless steel ferrules are attached at each end of the handle for strength and durability. In the final step a skilled craftsmen hand sharpens each blade to a razor like edge. It’s said in Japan that the kitchen knife is a good-luck article that helps us to shape our own fortune. So each knife is sent in a cardboard gift box.
