The Large Straight Adze has a 1.75" long edge. Handle is 14" long.

The handles supplied with these adzes are sawn from boards of Eastern Cherry. It would seem that one of the most critical parts of the handle (where the iron is lashed onto the handle head) is all weak cross grain. For this reason, a 3/8 inch diameter dowel is epoxied into the head of the handle. It is a proven design. These are certainly guaranteed not to break.
