It is patterned after an old European design and is now made in Taiwan of cast iron and steel. The jaws can be tightened parallel to each other or individually swiveled to accept tapered pieces. Three 7/8˝ x 3˝ x 4-3/4˝ hard wood jaws can be easily modified to accept oddly shaped pieces or replaced entirely for a special job. The vise mounts to your bench through a 5/8˝ or larger hole and is held firmly in place by a large cast iron wing nut. It can be installed and dismantled in a matter of seconds. The vise swivels through 360° and accept pieces up to 6¼˝ thick.
