It is ideal for deboning poultry or cleaning small sized fish. The spear point tip also allows for coring and spearing cuts on fruits and veggies. Messermeister Meridian Elite knives are made in Solingen, Germany. They are fully hammer forged by master smiths from one piece of high carbon no stain molybdenum vanadium tool steel. Messermeister Elite knives require three hand sharpening and honing steps in addition to what is normally applied in the sharpening of a professional knife. This process gives a razor sharp edge which you will appreciate with every use. The handle is made from "POM" (polyoxymetholene) and attached to the full length tang with three rivets for a lifetime of heavy use. Messermeister guarantees each knife against faulty material and workmanship and will replace any that are defective.
