1-1/2" (36mm) 47-1/2 Degree Polishing Plane - Hiroetsu

Our 1-1/2˝ Polishing Plane is used for small work leaving a smooth, silky sheen on the planed surface. The AA grade blade is hand-forged by master blacksmith Hiroetsu using the best quality high carbon "white" steel forge welded to wrought iron, and then individually tempered to Rockwell c65. The plane body ia made from select Japanese White Oak, noted for its tough, enduring qualities. The blade angle is bedded at 47½° for hard and abrasive woods. The body width is 2˝ and body length is 5½˝. Each blade comes well sharpened, with instructions for adjusting and maintaining the plane.
