1-1/2" Fillister Plane - Left Hand

This left handed fillister plane with a spur on the side of the body to score the fibres when cutting a cross grain rebate, i.e. fillister cut. The hand-forged laminated white steel blade is mounted at a skew angle in a Japanese White Oak body. The skewed blade gives an exceptionally smooth cut, particularly when planing cross grain. The inlaid brass sole plate give a life time of wear protection. The fence may be adjusted for a cut from 0˝ to 1˝ width. Overall body length is 9-1/4˝, the width is 2-1/8˝, and the width of the blade is 1-3/8˝.
