Shipping Policy Delivery Time
Most of our orders are shipped out within 2 working days after receipt of your order. Unless otherwise requested, all orders will be shipped via Federal Express Ground or US Postal Service. Delivery is normally within 3 to 10 business days. Holiday seasons can sometimes extend delivery times from 7 to 14 days. However, we always strive our best to ship your order as fast and accurately as possible.
Shipping Costs
Unless otherwise noted, all U.S. orders from The Japan Woodworker greater than $200 will be shipped ground service at no additional cost. A $8.95 delivery charge will be added to all orders less than $200. However, please note that delivery of stationary machinery will incur an additional charge (even within the United States). California residents will be subject to a 9.75% sales tax.
Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories: Depending on value and weight, your order may incur additional charges. You will be contacted for your approval before any additional shipping charge is applied.
Canadian Customers: In general, our U.S. shipping charges also apply to shipments to Canada. However, an additional charge will be applied to heavy shipments. Please note that the customer is responsible for any added Canadian tax and/or duty charges.
Non U.S. or Canadian Customers: Customers will be charged the actual shipping and insurance costs to their respective countries. Shipment will be made by air delivery via the U.S. Postal Service. Please note that you are responsible for any tax and/or duty charges added by your country. Shipment will be made after your credit card and address have been verified.
Rush Delivery
We provide Federal Express Next Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day rushed shipments at the request of our customers. All rushed orders incur shipping charges based on the weight of the entire order.
For same day shipments, your order must be received by 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Festool Ships FREE
Unless otherwise noted, all FESTOOL orders will be shipped ground service at no additional cost. Festool orders will only be shipped within the United States. Customer's information will be shared with Festool for tool registration purposes only.
Back Orders
Occasionally, stock shortages may occur due to unexpected demand of a product. Back orders are usually filled within thirty days. On occasion, stock coming in from overseas may take from 60 to 90 days. You may cancel your order at any time by email or by calling our office at 1-800-537-7820.
Unpacking Your Purchase
Please, remove items carefully. Please DO NOT DISCARD ANYTHING. Keep the original box, packing materials, invoices, etc. You may need these items in case of a return. Please be sure to remove and account for all items listed on your invoice. Important: some items are very small and can be difficult to locate within the packaging materials. Please report any discrepancies to our office at 1-800-537-7820 or email at support@thejapanwoodworker.com.
Packing material is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
