This burnisher is made from polished high speed tool steel to give a smooth, well formed hook to your scraper edge. Its diameter is 3/8" and it is 6" long. A hole is drilled in one end to facilitate adding a handle.
This burnisher is a hardened (Rc64) and polished tool-steel rod that stands up well to constant use on scraper edges. High carbon steel.
