Our Touroku Brand Oval Face Hammer Heads are hand forged by Mr. Hiroki Aida from high quality stainless steel using Hizukuri forging techniques. He is the only hammer maker able to forge stainless steel using Hizukuri. After heat treatment, the head is carefully hand shaped, polished and installed on a Japanese White Oak handle. These chisel hammers are very popular with professional carpenters, as they will last a life time and never tarnish or rust. Weight of head is 13 ounces (375 grams) and overall weight is 18 ounces. Overall length is 14".
