This mallet is designed to knock together joints in post and beam construction. The head is made from high impact plastic resin for years of heavy use. It has a metal plate inserted in one face for striking nails and other metal protrusions that otherwise might damage the mallet. Head size is 3-3/8˝ dia by 6˝. Overall length is 15-1/2˝ and overall weight is 40 oz. The handle is made from tough Japanese white oak.
