Veritas Tapered Plug Cutters cut a slightly tapered plug. The taper ensures a snug fitting plug every time. Although the tips of the cutter do most of the cutting, the sides perform the tapering. This gradual cut of the plugs results in a very smooth walled plug, assisting in obtaining invisible glue lines. To make plugs as invisible as possible, they need to fit snugly and have their grain aligned with the grain of your work.
